Setting up Google Voicemail as my primary VM

I have an ATT number and am looking to use Google as my primary VM. My primary phone number will be my ATT and I set up a phone number with Google. When I follow the instructions to activate google voicemail, I get an MMI code error when I enter the **004* code. What am I doing wrong?

My goal is to have all VMs to both my google number and my att number get routed to my google vm.

Hello @alaneiv.

That's a great question!

According to Google Voice Help: If you get voicemails on your mobile, home, and work phones, you can use Google voicemail to check them all at once.

We encourage you to open Google Voice on your PC and follow thestep-by-step instructions from the top left Menu Menu and then Legacy Google Voice, as the Google Voice mobile site does not offer you the option.

We hope this helps!

This does not answer the question. Following the instructions I'm supposed to be able to dial **0400* but when I enter the code att isn't accepting it. Says invalid mmi code. what code do I need to enter for att to forward my VM to another provider?
