Not receiving texts from T-mobile user in group text

Hello.

I have an issue where I don't receive texts from a particular member of a group text within a group text. They can text me individually and I'll see it, but it's like my phone refuses to accept them on a group. This happened with three different people in different text strings, 2 iPhone users, one android. I finally figured out they were all on T-mobile.

I've been on the phone extensively with apple trying to figure it out. I've deleted contacts, re-entered then in, deleted groups....reset network settings....restored my phone....I feel like it might be an AT&T problem now.

Please HELP! My friends are getting frustrated with me not seeing everything! 😝

I have the same problem. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and finally did it all again with an AT&T representative with no success.

I was then told (by at&t) that t-mobile was the problem. My mom has tmobile so I went though her tmobile rep. and we did similar troubleshooting - once again to no avail. tmoblie said it was at&t or apple.

summerize:

AT&T: told me the tmobile server wasn't sending anything so it had to be a problem with tmobile not sending the message.

Tmobile: told me they were sending the message just fine and that I needed to talk to apple or AT&T.

Handing the customers back and forth and forcing me to be the middle man is not productive. From all the threads it is clear there are a group of people who all have this same problem.

Long ago I was a tmobile customer - did I end up on some list??

What are my options to resolving this? How do I escalate this problem up the food chain to get it resolved?

Dave! So glad to hear I’m not alone in the problem but sad to hear you
haven’t any success in getting the problem figured out....

Me either.

I still use whatsapp for my group texts. 🙄

Hi I have the same issue and AT&T was not able to help. Apple was not able to help. I was also a T-Mobile customer over 10 years ago?

Hello Everyone

so so I just read your issues and it seemed like I wrote the message. I have been dealing with problem for 2 years now. In group texts I can’t see my brother, sister Inlaw or my friend texts. Everyone on the group can except me. Them three also have t-mobile. It’s extremely frustrating when I have three family members on my att lines, but only I can’t see the group texts from the t-mobile people but my other two lines can. I went to att, Apple, T-Mobile. I have spoken to the engineers and nobody, I mean nobody takes responsibility and fixes the issue. They just point the finger at someone else to resolve. So with that being said. I am at the point of canceling my entire Acct (home, direct tv, mobile) with att and go elsewhere. That should fix the problem. Been with att for over 15 years but since they pass the buck I guess they truly don’t want to collect my bucks $$$.

I’m having the same problem!! I am not receiving pics from my mother (T-Mobile customer) nor can I see her text messages on our family group chat. 🤬 I’m so over it! It was a mistake switching to att from T-Mobile.
