Advanced Messaging Major Fail
I have the Galaxy s7 Edge and my wife has the s7 and after the most recent AT&T update, it's been failing majorly. If I have Advanced Messaging enabled on my device and try to send more than 1 MMS to another person, it fails or they don't receive the image.
I have already reset as well as factory reset the phone but the issue is still happening. Again, this is only when Advanced Messaging is enabled. Sending images without it enabled works fine.
Please help!!

This is absolutely ridiculous. My fiance and I both have AT&T, I have the S7 Edge, he has the Active and we have so many issues with the advanced messaging. MMS messages fail constantly, messages aren't recieved but show delivered. It's intermitten but over the last week its been pretty consistent. There needs to be a fix soon.

I doubt you've assured any of us who are experiencing the same problem with advanced messaging in the last few months. It's such a shame that people who must pay good money for att services that don't seem to work properly have to be told that everything should work fine when obviously they dont. We deserve immediate solutions, not lies. That being said, my better half and I both own s7 edges and not being able to send and receive pictures in a streamline, error-free fashion has both of us going bald. Please take note that a history of baldness runs in neither of our families, perhaps with the exception of a third cousin from my mother's side who suffers from alopecia. God bless her. Att, please step up to this problem like the pros you may or may not claim to be and fix this immediately or just admit you made a mistake and refund us for our lost time and frustration.

The big win is that you *should* be able to message over WiFi, much like WiFi calling, something that you can't do with regular SMS/MMS (requires cell data).
That said, if I had this feature currently (I don't have a branded device), I'd probably only use it when I knew I was unable to use regular cell SMS/MMS (essentially knew I was WiFi only), given the current state of reliability.
We've helped probably hundreds of people struggling with this on the forums, recently, and who knows how many people either sent or didn't receive messages and didn't seek or know ot seek help, but clearly there are some issues still being worked out.
The big issue with this problem is, that unlike a dropped/incomplete call, you don't know if your message(s) didn't work, coming or going, unless you used the "messaging app with backup" from another device.

I have the same exact issues. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. I have an s7 edge and my girlfriend has an s7 edge. I factory reset both of them and the issues did not seem to go away. I turned advanced messaging off and everything works fine again. Its obviously a service issue. I would probably only use it as "pgrey" mentioned above, only when wifi was the only option to send out SMS/MMS.

Hi @arossi0630!
I’m so sorry to hear about your ongoing issues with AT&T Advanced Messaging. I know it’s frustrating to have services that should work without a hitch cause major headaches.
We want to get this resolved for you, so please send a message to @ATTMobilityCare and include your first and last name, a good contact number and the best time to reach you during the day.
We look forward to hearing from you!

I have the same issues with my galaxy s7 edge. You people are a joke. You have all of these people on this thread with the same issues and your response is the same every time. I'm not going to send you a message. Get the issue resolved period. Every time I call AT&T I get the run around and no issues get resolved. AT&T has very poor customer service and extremely poor customer loyalty relations. I am very unsatisfied with my dealings with AT&T. After over 10yrs with the company I've been treated horribly.

I couldn't agree more agree more. I moved to AT&T because of the BOGO offer they had with the new Galaxy phones. It was the worst decision I've ever made. I never had a problem with Verizon, in fact, I was quite happy. Since joining AT&T in May 2016, I've gone through 3 different Galaxy s7 Edge devices, my billing was different every single month it was produced, I spent countless hours on the phone with customer service and tech support, and no one cares. I can't wait for my lease to get a little lower on this phone. Once it has, I'm done. I'll never come back to AT&T and I'm taking more than 5 or 6 people with me. (Which I know means nothing in the grand scheme of things)
