15gb hotspot data limit

is there anyway to increase my 15gb hotspot data limit? It's not enough for my cycle.

Demands for data increase to accommodate usage is understandable, nevertheless, currently there is no way to increase hotspot limit beyond the 15GB limit.

@ATTHelp what happens when the 15G hotspot limit is reached, does it cut off further hotspot usage for that device for that billing period?

Again, I will ask here... WHY... for rural areas, with Rural 4G offering services??? They are not building towers, so that means they are getting bandwidth from somebody. So is AT&T behind on serviceable towers, and maybe Verizon is meeting the need?? What about other cell service providers that are providing service over existing networks??

The argument that it can't be done is flawed, especially for rural areas.

@ChrisTN57 It has nothing to do with towers. They limit phone hotspot because your phone plan is not intended to be unlimited data for every device in your home. For that, they want you paying for a home internet plan.

What I have went to is a dedicated hot spot. This is not thru my cell phone per say, but it does have it's own number. As far as getting home internet thru a specific such plan... it is not available "here".

The dedicated got spot fills the need, other than the data limitation. Between the plans on pur phones, and the hot spot, we can come close. Just put in the hot spot a month ago. If I had found out about Rural 4G before doing it... chances are pretty good they would have gotten my business, and may still.

With that being said, it would seem that AT&T would/should reevaluate the current position. Like I have posted elsewhere on here, Rural 4G is not building towers, they are reselling bandwidth, so why would AT&T not make a similar package available to it's customer base??
