phone says no service

My phone no service yesterday. Although I restart the phone or reset the network settings, still doesn't work. I am not sure whether the account is in good standing. I try to take out the SIM card and put it in, still not works. what should I do? If need to replace the sim, do I need to go to the AT&T store or apple store ?
