com.apple.mobilephone error 1035 meaning iPhone 8

Since the purchase of my new phone, the iPhone 8,  I am unable to retrieve any voicemails that had been sent to me. And this is the error code I receive when I try to reset my visual voicemail.

Had several people tell me they’ve left me a voicemail, not getting any. I’ve tried to set up a custom greeting and i get the error code 1035 in my iPhone 8. I’ve restarted my phone, did the recent update, nothing fixed this. What can I do?

Same Problem. Same error code. What's wrong with APPLE? How many people like change? I would think nobody. Yet Apple with every update, changes things so much that people have to figure out how to work things all over again. Its to the point I can't stand updates. Phone working great, know how to do everything I need. then BAM update changes everything, and APPLE thinks people like that. STOP IT. improve what we already know, not create something new for people to learn how to use. If it's not broken don't fix it.

Same problem and the only way I've found to remedy it is to do the following:

1. Record your Custom Greeting.

2. Hit Save (you will get the error message)

3. Select OK on error message.

4. Your greeting selection at the top of the screen will switch back to Default but your newly recorded Custom greeting will still be showing in the bottom part of the screen.

5. Reselect Custom at the top of the screen and hit Save again.

6. It should now save your custom greeting without the error message.

7. Test by calling your phone from another phone.

Yes!!!  This is the only one of dozens of offered solutions that worked.  why can't AT&T tell users to ignore the message and tehn choose the custom greeting that results.  the error message send you down a path that is STUPID!!
