Wiping iPhone

My daughters iPhone screen is broke. We have gotten her a new phone and were thinking of selling her old phone. The phone turns on but you cannot see the screen. Is there any way to reset the phone before selling?

Settings> general>reset >erase all content and settings. It will go back to the initial Apple defaults. If you cannot see anything on the screen, book the iPhone up to itunes and perform a restore then setup as new.

I tried hooking to iTunes but iTunes is requiring me to "trust this computer" on the iPhone itself. Is there a way around this?

You should be able to use the iCloud Find My iPhone functionlity and erase the phone...

It may be worth having a third party repair the sceen. The increased resale value may pay for the repair and then some.

I tried iCloud but it's showing as offline.

I'm thinking I'm just going to buy a screen replacement kit and try to do it myself. I won't be out anything if I screw it up?
