Sprint iPhone 5s unlocked on ATT

I have a friend at work that no longer has a need for his iPhone 5s and has offered it to me.  Sprint will unlock the phone for domestic carriers.  Will an unlocked Sprint iPhone 5s work on the ATT network?

Yes it should - double check the IMEI number of your new device using the following link:

Hi there @HROrrJr!

@JohnnyDoe is absolutely correct. The device will be able to work on AT&T’s network once it is unlocked from Sprint.

If there are any problems regarding signal or connection, feel free to check out our Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool to help out with those! All you need to do is select your make and model and then choose the issue.

Thank you for your question! Happy Holidays!

You will have to take your phone into an AT&T Corporate store (avoid 3rd party retailers) to get a free SIM card. The iphone 4/4S used a micro SIM card and the 5 and later all use a nano SIM card. So your older SIM card from your 4s unfortunately won't fit in your new phone.

I have been a customer since Bell South Mobility. Have never thought of leaving.

I stand corrected! My apologies - enjoy the new iphone! Always good to hear about longtime customers that have stayed loyal and don't plan on switching!

One more question - can I just move the simcard from my 4s to the 5s and go or do I need to take both th AT&T and have them do it?
