Can I get out of my plan early?
We loose our phone signal a few miles down the street or while we're traveling. My husband is a heart patient with congestive heart failure. If I needed to call 911 or find my way to a hospital with no signal it could possibly mean my husbands life.

Sure. You will just have to pay the balance of anything owed on a Next plan or an early termination fee if you are on a 2 year service contract.

You might start shopping before you switch to a carrier with even less coverage. Ask neighbors. And consider if you need a cell booster for home and car.
