Unable to update LG k10 android version

I Using an LG K10 (425) running software version K42511i using android version 6.0.1 (patch 2016-09-01).

Android should have automatically updated a long time ago.  When I click on 'Software Update' it tells me that my device is up to date.  I have attempted several times with the same result.  How do I update the OS? I have tried the at& t troubleshooter which didn't help.

Thanks in advance

Hello @vnakka,

We're here to help! To receive your software update, we need to ensure that you are connected to the AT&T Network. From your device, go to Settings > Networks > Mobile networks > Make sure to turn Mobile data switch on.

Once you secure your connection to our network, follow these steps to update your software:

  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers, then tap the Settings icon.
  3. Tap the General tab, then scroll to and tap About phone.
  4. Tap Software Update, then Update Now.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi there,

Currently, this phone is outside of AT&T coverage and we are facing issue connecting to 4G of other local network providers who are asking to get the update. is there a way to get this outside of AT&T network through my AT&T login/ contract?
