Numbersync issue

I changed the number associated with my att access Id and set up messaging without issue on my galaxy tab e. However when I attempt to set up numbersync, it links to the wrong (old) cell number. I tried clearing the app data and force stopping the number sync app. No luck.

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Community Forums. I can understand the importance of using the NumberSync correctly; I use it myself all the time. Don’t worry, we’ll get this fixed for you. 

I definitely recommend making sure the NumberSync is set up correctly.  Let's check your settings to make sure everything is turned on. You can access these on the watch by selecting Settings > Connections > NumberSync. If it gives you the option to Set Up, I would go through the process again. Please check out our support article Resolve NumberSync for wearables to verify everything looks correct on your myAT&T account.

This would likely be great advice if I was asking about a wearable. However, if you read my question correctly you would see that I was asking about syncing with a tablet. Can you help me there?

Thank you for your prompt response regarding the details I have left for you to follow. I apologize for my slight mistake. Please allow me to assist you further in correcting this NumberSync problem you have encountered.

 

Since you mentioned you have changed your phone number, I highly recommend attempting to create a brand new Access ID associated with your new number. You can always set this up here on our site. Once you have successfully setup your Access ID, I recommend removing the feature from your phone. This will allow for a completely new setup process.
