Note 4 latest software update N910AUCS2D017

Since the last FOTA update, my phone has been rebooting itself whenever I try to do anything; make a phone call, open up an app, etc. It seems like anything that is CPU intensive causes the phone to pause and then subsequently reboot itself.  I have restore the default on the phone and wiped out the cache on the phone which has helped lessen the number of reboots per day but not completely solve the issue.  Is there a known fix for this issue?

Hi @polho22!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with the software update on your Note 4! This is definitely not the experience I would want anyone having after the update! We test these updates extensively to make sure this doesn’t happen, but since each device is different, it’s impossible to predict how it will act on each device. I’ll be more than happy to help you out with this!

I know you have mentioned having already done a bit of troubleshooting, that’s awesome! The other options that you have available are both going to be through Samsung.

Samsung offers a PC application known as Samsung Kies that allows you to manage your device from your computer. This application allows you to back-up your device, even update your device. We recommend downloading the application from the Samsung website. The application will walk you through the install process of the operating system.

If you are unable to download the Samsung Kies application, you can also visit a Samsung Experience kiosk at participating Best Buy’s as they have a variety of tools that may be able to help you restore your device. They are able to re-flash the software onto the phone.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
