LG V410 - Google Play Services error

for the last week my tablet has been showing a pop up window that says "Unfortunately Google Play servies has stopped". i can close the window but it comes right back. in fact it pops up about every 2 minutes. i've tried clearing the cash for the apps "Google Play Services" and "Google Services Framework". I've rebooted a dozen times. I even tried to download a new apk file, which wouldn't install.

HOW do i fix this?

Hi @corvid7!

There’s nothing much more frustrating than getting an error like “Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped” on a constant basis. We’ve received reports that people have been receiving this error due to a glitch in the Google Play service.

This error message affects Android devices using Google Play services version 8.1.15 and Android 4.4 (KitKat) or Android 5.0 Lollipop.

An updated version of Google Play (8.1.18) has been released to resolve the Google Play Services has Stopped issue. You can update Google Play by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap Menu > My Apps.
    • Apps with available updates are labeled Update.
  3. Tap Google Play Services App.
  4. Tap Menu and check the Auto-update box.
    • When the Auto-update box is selected, the app updates automatically when updates are available.

Once it’s updated, you should no longer get that pesky error.

Please let me know if this helps and have a great day!

Factory reset the tablet. See if that solves it.
