That's a great question.

Android Oreo 8.0 OS update for your LG V20 (H910) will be available soon. We began releasing the software update August 23, 2018. We will continue to roll-out the update, and as it becomes available, you will receive notification via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).

You can initiate the Software Update from the home screen, pull down the notification shade and select Settings > General Tab > About Phone > Update Center > Software Update > Update Now.

We encourage you to visit LG V20 (H910) Device Support > Software updates for more information.

Does the phone update without at&t sim activate for unlocked version?

Hi i have 2 lg v20 at&t unlocked that i use with cricket network. I bought an at&t go sim to update both phones to android 8.0, but only one phone got updated with this sim card the other did not. Do i have to buy another at&t sim card to update it to Oreo?

I know how to update my phone, I understand that quite fine. But I have an att unlocked LG v20 h910 on metro pcs network and my phone keeps saying I'm up to date. My text messages reminding me to pay my bill and thanking me for paying it have changed from a metro pcs text to att now. Also I can't use my wifi hotspot, Bluetooth or USB tethering.

Lucky your LG V20 got oreo update as LG has now discontinued that phone so no pie update.  My LGV30 has Nougat still.  Worthless..

Actually, LG has reversed itself on updates to the LG V20 (my H910 included) since it only ever got one major OS update (android 7.0 to 😎 which is one short of the industry generally agreed standard.  We should be getting a pie update (9.0) but will not happen until quarter 3 2019.  Hopefully the carriers will provide security updates up until then and after as well.  https://www.notebookcheck.net/LG-backtracks-on-its-stance-promises-Pie-for-the-ignored-LG-V20.396571...
