I can't answer incoming calls on my new Captivate.

I have a new Captivate. When an incoming call comes in, two icons light upon the screen: one says answer call, one says end call. Either icon have any affect on call. Both respond to touch but call keeps ringing. I just figured out last night the built-in home key is the only button that will answer call. Am I an imbecile? I can't even answer my dang phone. I can answer call with blue tooth devices. Clue me in, please.

You need slide either icon to answer or ignore the call. I found the sliding distance needed to activate the icon is too far (across the entire phone screen) that I lost a few phone calls because my finger lost track in the middle.

Thank you for your help. That works good.

After missing half a dozen calls on my new phone, I finally got to another phone so I could call myself. Even then it took me a couple tries before I thought of a swipe... The swipe is counter-intuitive; I was looking for a good old punch. 🙂

Swipe is to prevent accidental anwering the phone when you take it out of your pocket/case.
