Cant send texts or call certain people.

I just switched from Verizon to Att on my Samsung phone. My number was ported and the tech put Att sim card in my phone. Since then ( 2 days ago) my phone wont receive some texts with pictures and some texts I cant send. Also when I call some people ,I just get a busy signal, a really fast busy signal. I tested this....went to my brothers house ,who's phone was busy, called him , same thing- busy signal and hes obviously not on his phone. I really hope someone here can help as I dont want to be inconvenienced any longer.  Thanks

You’re using a Verizon phone?

You need to go through contacts as Verizon adds +1 to numbers.

The phone may need APN programmed and still may not be fully compatible

Hi Tgs1965,

Have you checked that the APN is typed in correctly? You can try using these steps.

  1. From the home screen, tap the Menu button.
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Mobile networks
  4. Tap Access Point Names
  5. Tap the Menu button
  6. Tap New APN
  7. Tap the Name field

Try inputting this APN:

Name: ATT HSPA+
APN:
 phone
Proxy:

Port:

Username:

Password:

Server:

MMSC:
http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS
proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port:
80
MCC:
310
MNC:
410
Authentication type:

APN type:
default,supl,mms,hipri
APN Protocol:
Leave it to the Default one
Bearer:
leave it to the Default one

I hope this helps!

Thanks.
