Does the purchase blocker block device updates?

The website only mentions preventing purchases for apps and games. What about upgrades? Are they blocked as well? My son is a secondary user. The only thing I want to prevent is upgrading his device. Is Purchase Blocker the way to go?

Hello @ThatJerseyGirl, we'd be glad to assist you! Purchase blocker only blocks mobile purchases like apps and ringtones. However, account changes can only be made by the account owner and authorized users. We recommend not granting authorized user access to anyone that you wouldn't want to make account changes. Thanks for reaching out to us.

@ThatJerseyGirl If you don't have your son on there as an authorized user and you keep your password private, then they should not be able to upgrade their phone.

@ThatJerseyGirl

Secondary users can do everything except close the account.    You will need to remove that authorization.
