I want to change my wireless number to my new home area code

Hi,  I've moved and have new business cards to order but don't want to put my existing phone area code on them because it misleads my customers.
Can I create a new phone number with the new area code to forward calls to my number?
Or, can I change my existing phone while having calls to the old number forwarded for an extended period of time?

Thank you,

Barry Scott

You can change your number but I don't know about the forwarding of calls to your old number. Based on this article, I believe the answer is no, calls to your old number can not be forwarded: https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1011568

@EnergyGuru57 I'd suggest porting your old number over to Google Voice and then set it to forward to your new number ($20 one time charge to port I believe).
