Caller name id gone and call protect ??

I have a subscription of caller name id and I just upgraded to the s8 from the s7 and all my previous devices have had att caller name id. Now I have a s8 and it's not on there not can I download it. And I see call protect now. And I cannot get it started. Keeps saying had an issue and try again.

To all....

There is a new subscription app called Call Protect Plus (at least that’s the current name). The app replaces Call Protect and caller ID in one app.

You can still use the free Call Protect if you choose.

Welcome to the Community Forums! I hope you are enjoying your new device! Caller ID is a great feature and very useful. I’m sorry to hear you have been unable to set it up on your new device.

If you are using AT&T’s Caller Name ID, your Galaxy S8 is not compatible. This may change in the future! Please check the link for updated information on compatible devices.

Your device should have AT&T Call Protect pre-installed. You can access it in Apps > AT&T Folder. This app helps block and maintain spam calls/messages. For more information on it, please visit this link.

It doesn't have a caller id is what the problem is. The android market is full of garbage unfortunately. Is there something in the works from AT&T?

The AT&T Caller Name ID App does keep an updated list of compatible devices on the link provided above, at this time we aren’t able to see when any new devices will be added to this lineup, however I do recommend you check back frequently for any new information!

It's odd, because they support the S8 and S8+ from Sprint, Verizon, and T-mobile, so I wonder if AT&T said no thanks.

You can install the apk and grant it permissions in the app section in settings and it works fine. I have the apk if anyone needs it.

Do you still have the apk for name I'd? I just wasted an hour of my life with tech support. I just said screw this cancel the subscription. I'm using a note 8 now.
