Automatically control data usage

How can I control data usage on one of my lines? Verizon let met set a data limit per line, AT&T does not. This stinks.

Hello @tjtaylor327,

Being able to control your data usage is always a good idea as it can prevent data overages.  I will be more than happy to help fetch the information!

After looking into this issue for you, I have found a feature which will help! AT&T Smart Limits can help set up data blocks once you reach the limit as well as various other features! It is free for the first 30 days and then it is $4.99/month for one line.

I hope this information helps! Have a wonderful day!

You seriously don’t understand your own product. Your smartlimits product cannot turn off data on a line at a specific amount of data usage. You know this and you keep advertising this product as something that is all controlling. Verizon has this feature and it works today. Please explain when this will be available from at&t.

I shouldnt be laughing.  You are correct.  Smart limits does not let you turn off data at a preset amount. A few years ago it did.  Not anymore.  And an employee should know that.

There may be a way to set limits on the phone itself, or an app to provide limits or a reminder.  If the phone involved is a young person, it is worth teaching them to manage their own data.  Back before such options my kids had to stick to a data budget.  Start em young.
