New unlisted number
Yesterday I called in and had my phone # changed to an unlisted, private number, however, when I call someone from that number, the receiving party gets a display of this unlisted number. Is it possible to display "Private Caller" to the receiving party instead of my actual number? Thanks for your time and effort! Barry

Hmmm... Maybe the rep just changed your caller ID and added the "Special Non Published" feature.
What you need is 'Caller ID Blocking'.
If you have U-verse, you can activate it by signing in to your online account (att.com) using your primary member ID. The go to Voice Features. Turn the Caller ID Blocking on.
It will block your name and number on each outgoing call.
If you have POTS, call customer service at 800-288-2020.
