Need a new 802.11N U-verse Gateway

I really need to have my U-verse Gateway upgraded to a unit with 802.11N for video streaming but can not get any help from U-verse sales or support. Please advise so I can avoid changing service providers.

ATT support is useless as we have found out over the last few weeks. You either have to know what you are doing on your own or you are figuratively up a creek.

The ASUS RT-N66U (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320091) is (arguably) the best residential wireless N router. Price isn't bad. $125

If you are on a budget the ASUS RT-N16 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320038

$83

or Netgear WNR1000 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122320

$25

Go to amazon.com search for Wireless Access Point.  You'll find 802.11n WAPs ranging from $20 and up.  You get it, turn off wireless in your RG, and connect this to one of the Ethernet ports on the router.  In fact, the advantage of this approach is that with a longer Cat-5 cable, you can move the WAP to the best place in the room for signal strength where you need it.  I bought one of those units, and I get 300Mbps all over the house and on the back patio, too. It was a TP-Link.  Worked so well, I also bought one of their $20 portables to use in hotels and other places that might have Ethernet in the room, so I could have secure and fast wireless for an iPad, iPhone, etc.
