Intermittent daily DSL outages

Does anybody have suggestions about identifying a probable cause? We had the installation of our DSL in November 2016, but daily intermittent outages only started in mid-March. When they installed our DSL, they replaced the main drop to the house, new box and interior wiring. There are not any phones connected to the Pace Gateway but we continually get DSL filter warnings when the service and broadband 1 lights turn off. The lights turn back on between 2 and 5 minutes later. The last time I spoke with a tech, he said our modem was the latest version and suggested that bad power could be an issue but after moving the modem to a UPS with power smoothing, we've still been experiencing the same issues.

Hi @friendlycow,

We apologize about the issues, but we will be glad to help. Did you notice any changes in March, such as construction in your area, or maybe even a neighbor getting service? Does this issue happen more during certain times of days? Is it possible to test in a different phone jack to see if there is an issue with the jack or the area around it?

 Hello @friendlycow,

Bad power doesnt necessarily mean from the outlet, it could refer to the power adapter for the modem. However if this was the case then it would generally show up in the errors under the loss of power failures. So this is most likely not the issue. I would do as ATTcares mentioned and check with another jack, but this will most likely need a dispatch as there is noise/interference being detected on this line which is causing issue with the signal.

There is only one outlet connected between my modem and the box that is connected to the main line and its a direct connection. There are no other cables leaving the main line box except for the one that is connected to the modem. I reset the counters this morning and its still taking intermittent errors. As far as I can tell, there has not been any construction around the time we started experiencing issues and its aerial cable leaving our house. I'm not sure where it goes beyond our street to get to the DSLAM.
