Transfer from one AT&T account to another
I have a line of service that’s active on someone else’s AT&T account. If that person transfers responsibility to me do I have to replace my SIM card?

No because transferring the line allows you take over the phone number, which the SIM card is attached to. Remember you can drop your SIM into another AT&T phone and are still using the same number because it is tied to the SIM, not the phone itself (like it was in the early days before SIM cards).

Thanks Juniper! I was thinking that, but wanted to clarify before completing a transfer in the middle of the night. Didn’t want to lose my service.
