After you place an order with us, we'll send you a link in an email and a text message. Open the link from a smartphone or tablet so you can use the devices camera to take pictures of your ID and complete the process. (Once you get the email and text message, you have 24 hours to use the link and add your ID images. If you don't, we'll cancel your order.)
Please be advised, you'll need to have enabled camera and video permissions to allow the image capture app to launch and take pictures of your ID. Review your mobile devices operating system support pages for more help:
Same issue here. I placed an order this afternoon with helps from one of the online agent. I was told needing to upload my ID and there will be an email or message sent to me for instructions to upload the ID. NONE RECEIVED, and instead of that I got an email saying my order got cancelled and nothing further needed. I contacted the agent again and was told it’s because my ID was not verified and I have to go through every single step again, and it turned out the team for ordering or analysts is closed so have to wait for the next day…. I have been going through this for 4 times… It’s just so frustrating. I understand AT&T is trying to prevent the fraud which I really appreciate it, but it can be more efficient and at least we customers know what’s going on.
I've tried placing an order four times for a new iPhone. I never receive the ID verification link or email and then my order gets automatically cancelled. Now I have to go to an ATT store to verify my ID. The nearest store is 70 miles from me, which is 140 miles round trip.
