Cancelling service

My phone contract is up on 9/3. My billing cycle runs from the 25th-24th of each month so basically I will be cancelling my service a week and a day into my billing cycle since my contract will be up. Will I only get billed for the week and 1 day I had service this billing cycle then?

Nope.  All carriers bill month to month.  If you don't want to waste money, port out on the 22nd or 23rd.

The final month is not prorated. You will be billed for a full month so best to cancel near the end of your bill cycle. I would say cancel on the 22nd or 23rd.
