Someone is spoofing my AT&T Wireless number. What can I do to stop this?

I recently fell for a Craigslist scam - the scammer was able to get a validation code texted to my cell phone, and had my phone number, and is now spoofing my number to make phone calls to similar phone numbers that share the same 6 digits.

As someone who constantly receives the spam calls, I detest that my number is being used to spam others.

What are my options?

Can someone who is spoofing your phone number access any additional phone information?

Can this lead to Identify Fraud?

What are my options? There aren’t any other than changing your number. There is no way to stop anyone from spoofing your number. Even if you change your number, it will eventually get spoofed too.

Can someone who is spoofing your phone number access any additional phone information? No.

Can this lead to Identify Fraud? No, spoofing your number can’t but responding to validation codes you weren’t expecting can. Unless you specifically are being targeted (which is unlikely), the spoofers usually only use a number a short time and move on to another.
