Porting to TMobile

I am currently in a 2 years contract on 2 phones. I am porting to Tmobile. Is there a way I can get my phone unlock before my account is closed with att? I know that I am supposed to be charge for ETF. I was told that with my grandfather unlimited data changing to $35 I would be able to cancel without ETF. Really when my cycle ends at the end of the month, I should really don't have any charges and no ETF. Would ATT be able to unlock me early, so I don't have any downtime when the porting is done.

You can't get the phone unlocked until after your account is closed and ETF waived.

The ETF will be waived on only lines with unlimited data plans.

FYI allow a month before you can unlock the phone.
