Online you can check usage. That means if call or text, incoming/outgoing, what number it was with, and length (call only of course). The content itself they have no access to as that would require actually looking at your phone.

It is not true real-time as that information only reports once completed. As for how soon after, not a guarantee, but within an hour wouldn't be unreasonable.

Because that usage has the potential to affect billing or service prioritization (such as how much data is used), that is not private to you. It is information belonging to the account owner. If you are the account owner, change your password and make sure your ex is not an authorized user. Regardless if you or your ex are the account owner, one of you really should do a Transfer of Billing responsibility to take your line to your own AT&T account (or port the number to another provider). www.att.com/tobr

Whether just a regular ToBR or porting to another provider, do NOT cancel the line or the number is lost. It has to transfer while active which upon completion cancels it.

Bottom line, you want privacy then whoever doesn't own the account needs to leave.

Is the account in your name? If you are then you can remove her from your account, which means she will have to get her own service. Or, you can make sure the account does not have her as an authorized user so that she can't make any changes to the account. In either case, she can't read your texts or emails if they come to your phone number. She can see the bill if she has access to your account (username/pw) but all she can see is the incoming/outgoing phone calls (date/time), and not the content of text messages/emails unless she can access your phone.

@NateSpaulding  If she has access to your account, she can go online, after a period of time as mentioned by @Juniper , and see what time and phone number was called (or received from). The same for texts and messages but she can not read the text messages (or emails) because they are available only on the phone that received or sent them.

A joint account just means that the owner, and who ever they give access to, can view the billing and make changes to the account. If you don't want her to view the billing (which will indicate date, time, and phone number of messages/calls) then either remove her as an authorized user, delete her phone number, or change your password so she can't login in to the account.
