new data plans by other carriers
Why doesn't AT&T offer an unlimited plan like T mobile? The pricing and data plan is intriguing and will possibly cause customers to switch over to the other carriers! Any thoughts on keeping existing unlimited data customers with much more attractive plans out there?

T-Mobile must give away the farm because they are a smaller network with fewer subscribers. So they come up with gimmicks and other offerings that are not financially beneficial in order to get people to switch. There simply is no need to match what they have because the churn is obviously not that great.
The problem is that T-Mobile is not a true national carrier with coverage the same as AT&T or Verizon. In fact they have some of the worst rural coverage out of the major 4 networks. If you're outside of the largest 35-40 metropolitan areas, you're not getting good reception.
