If I suspend a service for a few days would I get a disconnection or reconnection fee?

You can suspend and un suspend service yourself without any fee. You are still responsible for on time payment. Link below on how to suspend service.

To make sure it is clear: suspending service only makes the service unavailable to be used, you still must pay for the service for the period the service is suspended just as if it were not suspended. Or as AT&T puts it :
