Are most family plans 24 or 30 months?

Hi, I'm having trouble accessing my families account (we have secondary password security and the person who has that password is out of the country I can't reach him for another week).  How do I find out if my phone is eligible to be upgraded?  I've had it since June 2018 and before that I had a phone on the same plan starting Feb. 2016.  Does this mean our plan is probably a 24 month or a 30 month?  I'm thinking that I upgraded the iphone 6s that I got in Feb '16 to the iphone X in June 2018...Will I be able to ask an agent about my specific phone and line without signing into the account with the extra security question?

ATT discontinued the 24 month plan but I don’t remember exactly when. I think it was early in 2018 so by June, 30 months may have been the only option. You will need the account pin to ask an agent.
