Unlock a Gear S3 Frontier to use it in others countries

Hi,

I'm french, i live in France and i'm very excited about the Gear S3 Frontier LTE model. But this LTE model is not available here in France.

I was asking myself if the watch would work here, in another country than US.

I already asked to Samsung, there is the answer :

"We have checked the information for you and see that you cannot use the Gear S3 Frontier LTE in France for calling, Internet and texting purpose. However, you can use other functions like S Health, S voice and Audio playback features.
In this case, we request you to contact the place of purchase in US and confirm whether you can also use the calling, Internet and texting features in France by unlocking it."

So can i effectivly unlock the watch if i order it on the Internet ? Does someone know if all the functions gonna work fine after this unlocking ?

The Gear S3 is certainly something to be excited about. I’m very glad you brought this up to my attention; it will be a pleasure to assist you with this matter!

The wearable would work in France; however, it would mean you would need to have services with AT&T, and an international plan on the line to avoid international roaming charges.

At this moment, wearable and hotspot devices cannot be unlocked. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
