Oh, they don't have those channels. If you have local channels owned by Sinclair, they're not on there. HBO isn't on Sling either.

I am a subscriber to U-Verse, just like you are.

While it's true that there are many other providers, they all negotiate with the same companies. From time to time, blackouts occur on these providers. Dish (and Sling, which is owned by Dish) is in several of these disputes, some of which go back over a year.

Nexstar-owned channels could be dark on Dish by Wednesday evening.

Hulu, Dish, YouTube TV and Fubo are all without Sinclair-owned channels. Sinclair owns several broadcast channels, such as Fox and CBS. They also own several regional channels such as Fox Sports Ohio, Marquee, Yes and several other Fox Sports regional channels.
