Suspended service reactivated without concsnt!

Highly disappointed with ATT/Directv. I suspended my service and never was told if I didn't call by within 9 months it would activate automatically! Thats absurd! I should have been told on the initial call or received a curtesy call. After all these years with att, they dont care! I should call and cancel my 4 cell phone lines too!!
