Spectrum Sportsnet channels unavailable

Why do channels 1777 & 1780 show up on my AT&T Uverse guide but are unavailable in my area? They say I'm not subscribed to add go to account manager, but won't let me add them.

Regional Sports Networks like these have very limited Geographic Footprints.  To quote a press release for channel 1777 (Time Warner Cable SportsNet ):

U-verse customers in Los Angeles, San Diego, Bakersfield and much of Fresno with the U100 package and above can see Time Warner Cable SportsNet on channel 1777 in HD

With respect to 1780 (Spectrum SportsNet LA) :

With the agreement, AT&T TV, DIRECTV, U-verse TV and AT&T TV NOW customers in Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii will gain access to SportsNet LA’s live game coverage once the new MLB season is cleared to begin.

Also note the issue with the delayed onset of the MLB season.  So, do you live in this region?  What is your zip code?

No, I'm in SC. I guess I just wanted to complain about something. I'm just a fan and never get to see the Dodgers and Lakers games.

The sports organizations tightly control broadcast rights and being able to watch a team that doesn't play near you is an exercise in frustration.  We can always use more Braves and Hawks/Hornets fans.

Hey @Adelrio,

We are here to help with your inquiry on the sports blackouts. @JefferMC is correct with their statement.

To add to what JefferMC has said, here is an article on understanding sports blackouts.
