MyAT&T Login Site Issue

Hi,

I like other members/user's of this forum continue to have an issue of being able to login/access this site: https://www.att.com/my/#/login

I've tried everything I know to try on my end, I've called the 800.288.2020 # twice, I've sent several direct messages to @ATTHelp on Twitter ( I did receive a few replies from them ), but my issue continues. When trying to login, after entering the correct information, I receive a prompt that says Let's make sure it's you, or something similar. It wants to send a code to my wifes cell#...as I'm the primary account holder I don't understand why that's happening. At this point I'm very frustrated nobody seems to be able to help me. I hope I can get some help in here.

Could you please try the following experiment:

  1. Go to start.att.net.
  2. Click myAT&T in the left column.  That should also take you to the standard myAT&T login page but indirectly through a different path.
  3. See if your login works now.

Remember this is only an experiment.  I don't know if it will work any better than just going to myAT&T directly via https://www.att.com/my/#/login.

Hi _xyzzy_,

WOW..that's an interesting user name, I took your advice and went to the site you suggested. I don't know if you saw that now they have changed the site name to a different name : https://currently.att.yahoo.com/

I was able to login to that site using my regular at&t ID password without any issues. But when I clicked on the AT&T Services link, I was taken to this page:

https://www.att.com/my/#/login , and I couldn't login properly..of course at the moment I'm using my cellphone. When I'm I'm using my computer, I can login correctly while using Microsoft Edge (HTML Version), also while using the google chrome browser. A day or two ago I had a chat session, and the person gave me a # to call, it's for the Digital Assistance Center. He assured me they could help me.. I haven't called them yet. Thanks for trying to help me.

I don't know anything about currently.att.yahoo.com.  Never heard about it before and have no idea what they are trying to accomplish with that site.  Maybe that's the behavior on mobile devices.

The link for myAT&T on start.att.net is to www.a††.com/olam/passthroughAction.myworld(+more stuff omitted here which appears to be the main difference**).  The standard myAT&T is www.a††.com/my/#/login.  My theory is that going through that olam link appears to have a different effect on the behavior of the login screen that's presented for myAT&T.

** Note the links I show above have att replaced with a†† just to stop this forum software from trying to make them actual links.

Hi _xyzzy_,

Have you tried reaching the site you noted in your reply to me : start.att.net ? I tried that again this morning and it took me here: https://currently.att.yahoo.com/

Hi,

I still have the same issue as I did, but I guess the good thing is that at least I can access my account information if I use one of my browser's. Hopefully in the not to distant future, the developer's of this site: https://www.att.com/my/#/login , will actually realize there IS an issue and hopefully fix it. Thanks so much for the user's in here that offered me help with my issue.

I guess this thread slipped through the cracks.  Sorry about that.

At the time I suggested going through start.att.net and clicking myAT&T it was the same old start.att.net portal page.  Tonight I too am ending up in https://currently.att.yahoo.com/ too.  So it must have been (or still is) a work in progress (have to wait to see if everybody is seeing this new portal page - seems odd having "yahoo" as part of att's portal page link).  I don't visit the att home/portal page very often so I don't know when they did this switch.  The link on this currently.att.yahoo.com for myAT&T is now the same old https://www.att.com/my/#/login where before is was using a much longer link which redirected to https://www.att.com/my/#/login.

Going through that extra link allowed me to login to myAT&T where going directly to myAT&T didn't (it used to so I just figured it was a cookie problem).  That's why I suggested what I did.  Now with this currently.att.yahoo.com page no longer indirecting to myAT&T there is no advantage doing it.  This meant, I thought, that I was now screwed with no way into myAT&T except with another browser (another reason I thought it was a cookie problem).  But I tried it anyway and it worked!  And now so does just using myAT&T again which makes sense since there is no more indirection from the portal page.Man Surprised  Whether this continues to work remains to be seen.  It may be this new portal page fixed up or changed some cookie(s) which in turn somehow corrected some cookie(s) on the myAT&T page (or may be they changed something there too).  Just guessing though.  It could equally be my browser is a bit flaky.  I does have its quirks but that is off topic here.

So at this point I have no alternative suggestions for you other then getting in through that other browser.

I'll keep trying to login into myAT&T to see if anything changes, i.e., it starts failing again.
