XCover Pro and Dual Sim

Does anyone know if its possible to use the second sim slot on the XCover Pro in the USA?

I took it to an authorized retail store (probably need to go to a company store) and they were not much help.
I tried putting the sim from my second phone (S8 Active) and that didn't seem to do anything.

I see Nov 2021 that now Verizon and TMobile support eSim on the S21 with the latest update.

May need to switch carriers?

I refuse to use an iPhone.

@formerlyknownas

The ATT site mentions nothing of dual sim under the specs.

Where in the settings can I find Sim2 or toggle between? The XCover Pro has two physical sim card slots - see attached photo.

If it's there, it's settings, network/connections, sim and network

Does not seem to be there and the phone the is running android 11.

Appears Android 12 with One UI 4.0 update is what is needed for eSim (and I am guess dual sim on this model)

Just spoke with AT&T chat support on AT&T.com and they claim in 30 minutes after a server sync I will be able to use my XCover Pro with Dual sims

Don't hold your breath..  chat support is outsourced and normally wrong.

Just another data point. My OnePlus 6T has two sim cards and it works great. One for me, one for work

@Never

Just moved up to a 1+ 8t to replace my 7t.  Rarely use the dual sim though.

Hey @jeep_man5, we'd be sad to see you go.

Let us help shed some light on things for you. Our Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is not supported by Dual SIM technology, but our Samsung Galaxy S21 5G is. Another thing to keep in mind is that the device would have to be Dual SIM, Dual Standby (DSDS) in order for both SIMS to be active at the same time.

Here's a list of our Dual SIM Devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G
  • Note20 Ultra 5G
  • S21 5G
  • S21+ 5G
  • S21 Ultra 5G
  • Google Pixel 4 and newer
  • iPhone XS and newer

Thanks for contacting our AT&T Community! We're here if you have any other questions.
