Wifi will not fully connect immediately following software update. S21 android 14 UI 6

I want to preface in the hopes of saving everybody time by stating IT IS NOT an issue with my router, modem, ISP or wifi; please do not suggest troubleshooting on that end. All other devices connect fine, that is not the issue. After researching identical posts, my phone is the issue.

I am so fed up. Yesterday, YET ANOTHER software update was forced upon me. I work as a first responder, and these forced updates the last few months have literally put myself and my patients in danger, as I use my phone for computer aided dispatching notes and conditions of ever evolving scenes or conditions of patients on medical calls. In two separate instances, it occurred literally in the middle of performing my duties. Developer options enabled, and auto updates disabled, yet they still just brute force it through. The whole reason why I switched from apple products was the illusion that my bought and paid for android product would be MY device, and I could use or misuse it however I deem fit. Now, I don't even have that anymore. I realize this is off topic, but I believe it is important for context. It has been brought to my attention, that if I purchase an open device from Samsung, I can circumvent this, as many of my options are disabled by the sole discretion of AT&T, and I am mad. Attached is a screenshot of my home network, and all of the characters that have popped up under each network listed which only appeared following the update, and accompanied the connection issues.

Today was the last straw. I think this update was the fault of android, and not AT&T, however since I am not able to correct it with the limited options available on my restricted AT&T device, I am reaching out in hopes someone here knows a work around that DOES NOT involve me having to hard reset my device; and in some instances I've seen on other posts, even that didn't fix the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, and apologies for the tirade.

Hey there @Youngadam0430,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Sounds like you've been through a lot, and we are here to help you in any way possible so that everything works well without disrupting your work.

1. Have you tried forgetting your Wi-Fi/home network settings and re-connect to the specific Wi-Fi? If so, what has happened afterwards?

2. What Wi-Fi are you currently using at this time? Is it an AT&T hotspot device or AT&T wireless internet router?

3. Also please visit this link: https://www.att.com/device-support/article/wireless/KM1428542/Samsung/SamsungSMG998U to know if your device is up to date with your software updates.

Provide us specific steps you've taken to re-connect on the Wi-Fi feature and let us know if it worked.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.
