This is a customer populated forum, we're not in any position to fix anything.

If you have changed your mind and are not participating in the trade in, just don't. There's no requirement that you trade in your old phone.   The trade-in is done via bill credits over 36 months. If you don't trade in your phone you just won't get bill credits and will pay for the installments every month as you would have anyway

If that doesn't address your questions, please contact AT&T directly. There's a contact us link at the bottom of this web page

Hello @MountainMan423

We hear you, and let's shed some light on this.

Orders that haven’t shipped yet:

  1. Go to Check order status
  2. Enter the requested info.
  3. Select the order you want to cancel.
  4. Choose Cancel order or Cancel item. Don’t see a cancel option? That means your order probably shipped already. You can still return or exchange it after it's delivered.
  5. Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.

If the order is already shipped:

  • You can return or exchange a device during the 14-day return period.
  • Review the AT&T Wireless return policy to find out about our return and exchange period, refund info, restocking and return fees, and more.

To return the old device for Trade-in:

  • Back up your device.
  • Disable security features like Find My iPhone or Find My Mobile for Android.
  • Sign out of any cloud services.
  • Remove all passwords and user locks.
  • Erase all personal data like contacts, photos, and videos.
  • Remove any accessories or memory cards.
  • Reset the device to factory settings.
  • Remove your SIM or delete your eSIM.
  • Return the device using the label from return kit.

Hope this helps! Feel free to revert for any further questions.
