Can I set my main number (physical sim) as an esim on my samsung galaxy z fold3 and then use a 2nd number as the physical sim?

I have 2 x ATT lines (personal / work) both on ATT

I would like to set my personal number as the esim, and use the works number on the physical sim

Is this possible now, it used to be not available but since last update, I now see the sim manager, esims, add mobile plan in the settings

thank you

That's a good question, @LPLPACA. Let us help shed some light on your eSIM inquiry.

It sounds like you want to convert your physical SIM to an eSIM. This is very much possible.

A dual SIM phone is one that can have two active numbers, plans, or accounts. You get this convenience on one device because it has two separate SIMs.

  • A physical SIM: A plastic card inserted into your phone.
  • An eSIM: A digital SIM you download to compatible devices.

Do you already have the eSIM activation card? If not, you can visit a retail location to obtain one. If you already have the activation card, then one of our representatives can assist you with the migration in private. At this time, there is not a self-service option availabe for Samsung users to convert their SIM card.

We'll be looking forward to your response.
