ATT Prepaid International Add-On in multiple countries
I will be traveling to two different countries from the US. My first stop is for several hours in Canada and then for several days in Rome, Italy. If I activate the International Add-On in Canada, will it continue to work when I arrive in Rome, or will I have to purchase another International Add-On when I arrive in Rome?

Canada is free to roam. Don’t activate it until you leave Canada

That's correct ⬆️
The international add-on is good for 7 days from the date you added and pay for it. You certainly don't need it in Canada if you are on a prepaid 8 gig plan or more.
FYI if you are on the $30 a month 5 gig plan you are not covered for roaming in Canada. Please upgrade your plan to the $40 plan.
