How do I get an actual AT&T rep on the phone?

I'm trying to speak to an AT&T rep directly but the automated service won't put me through. I need help with my prepaid phone.

@ATTHelp  No this does not help. I tried the contact us page prior to this message and cannot get anyone on the phone to help with my prepaid wireless account. I keep getting a message that chat is not available when I try chat and I can't get past the automated voice to speak to a human rep. I'm being told that my request can't be processed until the former owner removes the phone from their AT&T account. I am the owner.

Why are you getting that message?

Did you request to unlock the phone and are getting the message the phone is being used on another account?

Did you just switch over from a post paid account?

Have you been using the phone on an AT&T MVNO?
