My phone is unlock eligible but my unlock request was denied because they said I tried to unlock it too many times when I only tried once. How do I unlock it?
Hello @marsieg, we are here to help you with your unlock issue.
Let's provide you the answers regarding your device unlock error!
If you were notified that your unlock request could not proceed due to multiple attempts to re-submit a new device unlock, you may have to wait within the 30-day time frame.
Please understand that unlock requests cannot be manually voided/expedited from the system while still pending or in the 30-day period.
It's best recommended to double-check All Unlock Eligibility Requirements as included in the highlighted article before continuing with a new unlock request. This will help the DUR run smoothly after device expectations have been met, and provide you an unlock code after approval.
In the meantime, review the list of requirements necessary for submitting a device unlock request here in the Forums.
General Requirements for All Unlock Requests
The device must be designed for use on, and locked to, the AT&T wireless network.
It must not be reported lost or stolen.
It’s not associated with fraudulent activity.
All the device’s service commitments and installment plans are completed, and all early termination fees are paid in full.
The device is not currently active on a different AT&T customer’s account.
If you performed an early upgrade, you must wait the 14-day buyer’s remorse period before you can request to unlock your previous device.
