Suspicious activity and bad customer experience

We got charged 97 dollars out of nowhere for a hold on the phone to get shipped, so we closed the card, we then had to pay 103 for it to ship we were also told that we would get refunded when it gets shipped, we have called the att support # for sams club members and we have both had the same run around and no help whatsoever with a down payment of 245 we are looking at cancellation for the att sams because with the same runaround and 5hours of holding to get nowhere is stupid for a refund. And the person we setup with can’t find our account now.

Huh?

Your information is really mixed up.

Perhaps if I explain how things should have gone, you can figure out whether they went the way they are supposed to or not.

First of all Sam's Club is Not AT&T. The people at work in there work for Smart Circle and they rent a kiosk in places like sam's, bj, and Costco.  If you ordered through Smart Circle, your phones are shipped to you, and mistakes are often made. They are also known to exaggerate how little you will pay.

When you order a phone, even if it's directly through at&t, over the phone or online, the sales tax is charged to a credit card as a pending charge. If it takes a while for your phones to ship that pending charge will sit on your account until the phone does ship. At that time the pending charge drops off and a new charge for the actual correct sales tax amount is charged to your account.

If you dispute of the charge on your credit card, your phone's should never be shipped. The pending dropped off.   If you made a deposit on phones, they will be refunded directly from AT&T by either a prepaid debit card or a check that may take up to 2 weeks to get to you.

If you would like AT&T level of service quality, do business with AT&T and not a third party
