AT & T never gave me the trade-in credit even after the trade-in department confirmed that my trade-in was processed successfully

This whole program is insane. "Mail in your phone and we will give you $1000 credit in three months." What an effing scam!

I mailed my phone in back in Jan 2023. It is now January 2024. After multiple calls and hours on the line, I finally got a guy to confirm what I already knew: AT&T received my phone in January 2023 . I have the trade in confirmation number: 30010423004104. I am trying to get this issue resolved from October 2023. One agent told me that she applied for 500 usd bill credits for that month and 500 usd for the next month and informed me that I should receive an email about this in a week and I call on after a week because - you guessed it - no credit had been applied to my account. Call again. And again. The people can't tell me anything other than to wait some more. Apparently, the issue will just resolve itself by magic. Every-time,  I am explaining this issue repeatedly to all the agents being on the line for hours and hours. Some just disconnect the call some transfer me to other departments and they again transfer me to the same department from where I got transferred. They say that they created a case when I ask next time the other agents say they don't see any case or notes left. Is this a joke? I have been paying around 80 usd per month from one year even when I am on the family plan. LOL! 

This seriously should be illegal - AT&T should be required to process credits for trade-ins upon receipt of the device. Or at least in a prompt fashion. No more of this "we will credit your account in a few months or whenever we feel like getting around to it."

I call and call and call and nobody can give me a straight answer. I know the poor employees I am speaking to have been instructed not to tell me anything. I know they can hear the frustration in my voice and feel bad. But like I said, they are instructed to follow they script.

Do not ever trust this process. Seriously, I don't know if employees just steal the phones as soon as they come in. Or if it is all a big scam. Or if AT&T is just so backlogged and struggling to find staff to process the claims. Whatever it is, the system is clearly not working. Whether it is negligence or malice on the part of AT&T, I don't know, but this whole thing is so messed up. 

If I thought it would do anything I would file an $1000 claim in small claims court or something. Obviously, nothing would come of that. So apparently I have no other choice but to continue paying off my new phone and then sever all ties with AT&T immediately afterward. And then convince everyone I know to leave AT&T as well.

I haven't got any help there. That's why I have dropped a message here. Now I understood you guys won't help me. I will make sure all of my circle friends family won't join AT&T. Goodbye! THANK YOU FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!

Yep I got scammed to. The bullets any phine sny condition get $1000 for trade th3. 3 months later oh they say your phine was o KY worth 10 bucks. Umm even the (Edited per community guidelines) In real time while on the phone I was like the trade we(Edited per community guidelines)ite is telling me my trade is only valued at say $35 . Well he said oh thats just for our records but you'll still get the $1,000 we'll (Edited per community guidelines). Thank God I did.t trade in 1of 2 iphone11's I have never activated so they are handy but I gave them a samsing a14  but they put it on the wrong trade and used my s9 for the apple iphone 14 and samsung s23+ I thought I was o ly payin the 200 bucks. Before that I hand to pay off the a14 that the laim butt home advisor sold me he lied saying it came with samsung pay . He ignored me . Att finally after like 3 months se t me a return label and the mfer.screen broke .so them I had to use it for a trade and I used it on the iPhone 14 but even 100 times att.  Keeps just telling me what I Wana hear. These reps should all be fired . They should say get free or get $1,000 off new phone for trade any phone any condition. . Att supervisors told me.thst.cz t do nothing g for a rep lying to make a sale . What the what. Well they all (Edited per community guidelines).. and I got 25 months and I'm bailing the freak out.
