good for you!
Some of us are not as lucky.
Take a look here...

The update is available that fixes some of those issues and the wait is completely unnecessary yet we're destined to sit and wait for inordinate amount of time.. while continuing to pay a monthly fee.. at the same time every other company with smaller resources has managed to do the something seeming impossible for the incompetent people at ATT. I and every other customer deserves and demands BETTER. You may be quite happy with the status quo. I am NOT. there is nothing you can say that will make this issue any less polarizing. But there is a solution... it's quite simple too... RELEASE the update.

Interesting article windrider.. Also makes a good point that MS is really quite a different software giant without Bill Gates at the helm.. I think that's why there was so much speculation when Steve Jobs stepped aside a little while back, worried they would lose the edge he gives Apple just like MS did when Bill left..

Be careful. Most people are happy to help out on these Forums, but remember that their advice is theirs only and that you are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow it. Take caution before downloading software to or for your handset, as it could potentially damage your device or void your warranty.

Wow, thank you Caretaker for not locking the thread. In the past we have seen threads locked which are criticalor att or suggest an alternative work around an att software holdup. I think that your response above is helpful, accurate and shows regard for the position many customers feel themselves in.

I worked for AT&T for 9 years during the time before they ventured off into non-landline services and launched AT&T WorldNet, and partnered with Sony and Motorola to bring out the first PDA wireless network. That was an AT&T to be proud of. "Bleeding" edge, focused on customer satisfaction, an industry leader. Those people who worked for that AT&T would cry to see how far this company has fallen. Imagine, they are now LAST to update their customers WP7 phones, not FIRST (in fact, the first were unbranded phones, how sad is that?), and the only way their customers get an update is through the help of others. Sad is not even the proper word to use here for this situation, there are none I can think of. Love you AT&T, but you have really screwed this up.

Wow can't believe this thread is almost 3 weeks old and nothing has changed as far as the status of this update for AT&T customers... Quite disappointing to say the least, I understand they are being cautious but wow..
