Trek 2 (ZTE K88) not auto-rotating after update to Nougat 7.1

I have 2 Trek 2 tablets and after the OTA update to Nougat 7.1 the screen will no longer auto-rotate & any games that use the accelerometer no longer respond to the tilt of the device. It seems like the last official OTA broke the accelerometer. This has happened on TWO Trek 2 tablets. I have seen lots of complaints but no solutions given. Yes, both tables have been reset multiple times and diagnostic apps report that the sensor is not present. Both tablets worked fine before the OTA update from ATT. What is going on here???

You cannot get any help even if you called that number unless ATT exchange your table to another one. It is a software issue, not hardware.

The auto-rotating issue after update to Nougat has happened to some Trek 2 purchasers, not all Trek 2 tablets, but some Trek 2 tablets happen. The only solution is to roll back to MM(B31 or B33).

Even ZTE doesn't have any solution to that. Just rolling back to old OS. I know it is impossible in a normal way. You had to install TWRP and then flash B31 or B33.
