Texts delayed for an hour or more if we even get it.

We send out messages to our phones most of which have been very delayed in receiving on the phones anywhere from 30 minutes to 25 hours later.  Any ideas as to what would be causing this type of problem with texts?  The ones in our group with phones on Verizon are not having any issues with receiving texts reliably each time a message is sent.

Let's work together to figure out why texts are being delayed, @tbarbour

This could indicate that there's a problem with your data connection or your device as a whole. Please use our support tool to run a complete diagnosis. Simply select your device type and issue to begin.

Below are a few things we'd like to recommend to help improve your overall experience.

  • Restart your device. ~ Common fix to most device errors.
  • Reset the network settings. ~ This will help sync your device to the best tower.
  • Check your device's software. ~ If you're not running on the latest version, it can prevent your device from performing at its best.

Let us know how this works for you!

Just switched from T-Mobile in order to take advances of trade-in promotion.

  1. ATT 5G is much slower (20 mbs)  than T-Mobile  5G (200 mbs).  I live in Orange county, CA.  Even phone call quality is worse.  Calls are often silent for seconds then come back.
  2. Big delay when I use google message for SMS even when my phone is on home wifi.  I never got this problem when I was with T-Mobile

Will pay-off the phones with ATT in few months then switch back to T-Mobile.
