Are you asking about a hotspot device or the hotspot function of your phone? Your phone hotspot will work anywhere you get service, including when roaming internationally. A hotspot device will also work anywhere in the US as long as you get service. Whether or not it works internationally depends on the plan and whether or not the device is compatible with foreign carriers.

Hello,
What is the hotspot being used from - its own device (like a mifi) or through a phone? Mobile Share plans work in US, as do DataConnect plans, and Unlimited Plans with hotspot feature work throughtout North America. International Plans are Day Pass or Passport (2 options) and neither include hotspot functionality abroad.
